As we prepare to begin a new year

On behalf of the entire staff of Mercy Wine Bar, we hope that you have a wonderful holiday season and that the New Year brings you health, happiness and success. We would also like to thank you for your continued support in helping keep Mercy one of the top wine bars in the metroplex.

One of the first concepts that Mercy was based on was to help increase the wine knowledge of all of our guests. To that end, we will be launching a new program in ’09. Each week we will posting a new “blog” on our web site by a variety of folks from Mercy.

Vincent Havard, Operating Partner and GM, will be writing about specific wine; their characteristics, history, uniqueness and profile.

Liz Williams will be covering all areas of entertainment at Mercy. She will profile performers at Mercy as well as other entertainment media of interest.

Jacqueline Thain, server and wine education specialist, will cover all aspects of food and wine pairing, discuss subject relative to learning more about wines from all over the world as well as
domestic varieties.

I will be covering industry trends and general hospitality subjects. We welcome your feedback and if there are any subjects you’d like for us to address please let us know and we will be happy to tackle them. We’ll do our best to make them informative and entertaining. Hope to see you soon at Mercy and bring in the New Year with your favorite glass of vino!

Mercy celebrates a Five Year anniversary

Mercy celebrates Five years of "Tranquility by the Glass"

On March 25, 2008, 18 winemakers joined 300 invited guests to celebrate the 5th year anniversary of Mercy Wine Bar, located in the Village on the Parkway, in Addison, Texas.

Owner, Glen Agritelley and Operating Partner Vincent Havard thanked the attendees for their support over the past five years.

Each year, as Mercy celebrates a birthday, invitations are sent out to our extended family: the numerous loyal patrons that have visited faithfully since its beginning.

The Fifth Anniversary party was really something special. Guests not only received a complimentary wine tasting; the glass of wine was served to them by the winemaker that produced it !

Mercy wishes to express a special thanks to the winemakers and vineyard owners that took time away from their own operations to attend this anniversary event. They helped to create a unique experience. Each guest has a special memory to treasure as they served and discussed their wine offerings to all patrons.
